Latin America has a lot to offer visitors, beautiful scenery, excellent weather and laidback pace of life just to mention some of them. Most places in Latin America are also cheap.

Latin America is the region where primarily languages derived from the Latin language are spoken.  Spanish is the main language in Latin America. Portuguese is spoken in Brazil, the biggest and most populous country in Latin America.  Latin America has a population of more than 550 million. Brazil, with more than 190 million people, and Mexico, with more than 110 million people, are by far the two most populous countries. Columbia, with 45 million people, is third.

South America has a number of landmarks, just to mention a few of them:
-          the largest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls in Venezuela
-          largest river, by volume, Amazon river
-          the largest rainforest, the Amazon
-          the longest continental mountain range, the Andes
-          the highest capital in the world, La Paz, Bolivia
-          the southernmost town, Puerto Toro, Chile

Latin America has a number of famous tourist attractions, such as:
-          Palenque, Maya ruins in the  Mexican jungle
-          The Aztec pyramids at Teotihuacan, close to Mexico City
-          The Inca town Machu Picchu in Peru
-          The Panama Canal
-          Iguazu Falls
-          Rio de Janeiro

Latin America is not only a popular destination for tourists, a lot of people are moving permanently to various places in Latin America. The better climate, the relaxed attitude, cheaper living and better quality of life are some of the factors attracting people.
